Reviewed January 14, 2016 via mobileJust finished this amazing afternoon tour with Luis. It was a lively, informative and extensive introduction to the indigenous people , their history, culture, language and way of life. An excellent and varied experience including a weaving demonstration, an introduction to local music and topped off by Luis showing us how to make a Pisco sour before we sampled this great speciality. Thank you Luis and Philipe. Brilliant afternoon!
Can't remember our guides names, but he was warm and congenial, but his english was not the best. still he did a good job. this is a nice compact tour that starts off the main square takes you to the mercardo, some inca building history and then up to san blas for one of the best views of the city and a pisco tasting. I still gave the guy a good tip, others gave change which was an embarrassment. For three hours between $5-10 seems reasonable, not 50 cents. Remember, the tours are free and these guys are working hard.
Reviewed November 16, 2015 via mobileBrilliant friendly guide thanks Luis ! Really informative, cultural and fun included a bus excursion out of town to view the city from above and a free Pisco Sour in a great bar with views of the city
Didn't expect that tour to be so interesting. Our guide was fluent english, a good teller, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. The tour shows you around Cusco center, brings you to all the different corners of the place, learning about the history, the people, the food, the achitecture, etc. The tour last about 3 hours. The people working for Free walking Peru wears green vest, so you should be able to spot them pretty well. The tour ends at a restaurant/bar where they teach you how to make a local dish/drink and the view is amazing especially during sunset. If you have some time to kill or want to know about the city, this tour is a must.
“Jamie is the best!” Reviewed January 7, 2017 via mobileGreat tour with lots of good information. Jamie is very knowledgeable and is clear to understand. After exploring the main square we took a bus to Sacsayhuaman to see the ruins and such. The tour ends at a great bar with amazing views to sample traditional Pisco sours. Nice afternoon all in all!
